Clorox facilities follow a customized environment<\/span>al<\/span>, health and safety, or EHS, system that tracks, reports and enables continuous improvement to maintain a high level of compliance and help advance the company’s sustainability goals. The EHS system also includes a task management system designed to identify and track compliance with applicable environmental regulations. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Clorox Environmental Compliance Team <\/span>has broad <\/span>responsibility <\/span>for managing and implementing our <\/span>EHS<\/span> system<\/span>. The<\/span> team <\/span>work<\/span>s<\/span> with environmental coordinators at each manufacturing plant <\/span>who are <\/span>responsible for local activities, including implementing compliance programs and <\/span>tasks <\/span>directed through the <\/span>EHS system<\/span>. Plant managers are responsible for ensuring overall compliance at their sites.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Regulatory agencies at the federal and local levels periodically inspect our manufacturing facilities, focusing on the health, <\/span>safety<\/span> and environmental compliance of our operations. <\/span>Clorox <\/span>also <\/span>aims<\/span> to <\/span>conduct<\/span> an external or <\/span>internal <\/span>audit <\/span>at<\/span> Clorox-owned manufacturing facilities once every two years, led by the company’s Global Safety and Environmental team.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Our <\/span>S<\/span>upply <\/span>C<\/span>hain function <\/span>provides <\/span>our <\/span>teammates <\/span>with general environmental education and subject-specific training related to their roles, including annual regulatory training, which is <\/span>tracked through our workforce training system<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Our <\/span><\/span><\/span>Product Regulatory <\/span><\/span>t<\/span><\/span><\/span>eam owns<\/span><\/span> the<\/span><\/span><\/span> environmental <\/span><\/span><\/span>compliance of Clorox’s products and packaging. Business unit general managers and their teams own the environmental impact of our product portfolio, while the R&D Product and Packaging team executes product and packaging <\/span>improvements<\/span><\/span> that are designed to<\/span><\/span><\/span> increas<\/span><\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span><\/span> recyclability, enhanc<\/span><\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span><\/span> sustainability and reduc<\/span><\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span><\/span> their environmental <\/span><\/span><\/span>footprint<\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n
